Families from the migrants rescued by
the German NGO ship SeaWatch3 were authorised to land on Friday,
the NGO tweeted.
"The Italian authorities have given us permission to land the
families present on board: children, mothers, fathers and an
injured woman," it said.
"The offloading onto the Coast Guard launch is underway".
Interior Minister Matteo Salvini had said the 65 migrants
would not land in Italy.
Interior ministry sources said 18 of the 65 migrants had been
authorised to get off the ship, saying authorisation had only
been granted to "accompanied children and a man in precarious
health condition".
Therefore, seven children with their parents, seven mothers
and three fathers, plus the ill migrant, will go aboard the
Coast Guard vessel.
