A summit held by the leaders of the government coalition, Premier Giorgia Meloni, Deputy Premier and Transport Minister Matteo Salvini, Deputy Premier, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani and Maurizio Lupi, leader of the conservative Noi Moderati, reaffirmed "the coalition's unity", according to a joint statement issued after the gathering Friday.
The leaders "are determined to continue the work they started for the entire legislature, pushing forward planned reforms and implementing the program voted by citizens", according to the joint note.
The leaders "renewed the coalition pact - guarantee of effectiveness and concreteness in the government's action".
The joint statement issued by the centre-right leaders also stressed that the "upcoming budget, as previous ones, will be serious and balanced, and will confirm some priorities like tax cuts, support for the young, families and the birth rate, and interventions for businesses that hire" workers.
The centre-right also confirmed its "support for Kyiv" but opposition to "any hypothesis of military intervention outside Ukrainian borders", according to the joint statement
