A 16-year-old boy was arrested
Wednesday night on charges of attempted murder for having
attacked last Tuesday with a baseball bat in Cesano Maderno,
Brianza, a 60-year-old entrepreneur now hospitalized at the San
Gerardo hospital in Monza in a life-threatening condition.
Investigations have not shown that the attacker and the victim
knew each other and the motive is unclear. The Carabinieri
identified and arrested the boy late Wednesday evening.
They reportedly found a spliff and bloody clothes in the boy's
apartment in a building he shared with the businessman who was
attacked in the garage.
The boy, who has not got a history of psychiatric issues, was
taken to Milan's Beccaria juvenile prison.
