Mafia hitman arrested in Belgium

(ANSA) - Caltanissetta, April 10 - Italian police and Interpol on Thursday arrested in the Belgian city of Liege a Mafia hitman convicted of 14 murders and attempted murders in a 10-year rampage in Sicily.
    Gaetano Trainito aka 'Glass-Eye Tano', 51, sentenced to several life terms for his crimes, fled a signing-in order to join his wife and sons in Belgium last September, police said. Most of his hits took place during a 1990s turf war for control of the central Sicilian drug-trafficking trade.
