(see related) (ANSA) - Florence, April 29 - Raffaele Sollecito's DNA was on the clasp of the bra Meredith Kercher wore on the night she was murdered, a Florence court said Tuesday in its explanation of its decision to convict Sollecito and his girlfriend Amanda Knox for the killing. Sollecito's defence team had claimed Sollecito's DNA on Kercher's severed bra clasp was due to crime-scene contamination. "The biological trace found on the clasp of the bra that Meredith Kercher wore on the night she was murdered was left by Raffaele Sollecito," the Florence judges wrote. The explanation added that, therefore, the clasp "was manipulated by accused on the evening of the murder".
