(ANSA) - Naples, October 27 - MSC Cruises on Monday denied
wrongdoing by its executives after judicial authorities seized
33 million euros in assets from CEO Pierfrancesco Vago and from
the president of the board of directors, Francesco Zuccarino.
Vago is suspected of failure to declare income while
Zuccarino is suspected of falsifying his declared earnings.
"The charges are baseless and brought in clear violation of
international norms," the cruise company said in a statement.
MSC Cruises has offices in 48 countries and is part of the
Switzerland-based Mediterranean Shipping Company, the world's
second-largest container shipping operator.
