Actress Helen Mirren backs center-left Puglia candidate

(ANSA) - Bari, November 17 - Oscar-winning Britsh actress Helen Mirren has made public her support for Senator Dario Stefano in the center-left primaries for Puglia governor, to be held November 30, the Stefano campaign made known Monday.
    Mirren and her husband, American director Taylor Hackford, own a home in the southern region's idyllic Salento peninsula. Stefano, an MP with the Left Ecology Freedom party of current Puglia Governor Nichi Vendola, "has done extraordinary work for agriculture and the environment," the show business power couple said.
