(ANSA) - Rome, April 17 - Tens of thousands of civilians on
Friday fled Ramadi after the Iraqi city came under heavy
shelling from Islamic State (ISIS).
Eye witnesses said the evacuees, in car or on foot, were
heading for Khalidiya, 25 kilometres away, and Baghdad, 100
kilometres away.
