(ANSA) - Rome, June 19 - A wiretap of a conversation
between Cardinal Giuseppe Versaldi and a manager is among those
to feature in a probe into the alleged fraudulent bankruptcy of
a nursing home business, the Divina Provvidenza, ANSA sources
said Friday. In the conversation, Versaldi suggests the pope
should not be informed that 30 million euros belonging to Rome's
Bambino Gesù hospital and stemming from Italian public coffers
were to be used for the acquisition of the IDI hospital company.
Versaldi is not under investigation, the sources said.
