Some 700 aboard capsized migrant boat (2)

(ANSA) - Rome, August 5 - Some 700 people were aboard a migrant boat that capsized off the coast of Libya on Wednesday, the Times of Malta reported. The daily said the incident took place some 22 nautical miles from Zuwara. More than 100 migrants have been saved and the Italian Coast Guard is coordinating further rescue operations among several vessels in the area, ANSA sources said. Those included an Irish Navy ship Le Niamh and a boat operated by NGO Doctors Without Borders.
