(ANSA) - Bologna, August 11 - Police on Tuesday seized
several filthy, malnourished and mistreated animals from a
facility in San Donato, on the outskirts of Bologna following an
inspection by public health authorities.
The rescued animals included 15 sheep, two cows, several
birds and a ferret.
They have been handed over to veterinarians and breeders
for care, sources said.
The facility reportedly belongs to an association that
allegedly dealt with pigeon capture and control on an expired
city contract.
