(ANSA) - London, August 27 - The latest official figures
collected by the British Office for National Statics (ONS) show
that migration to Great Britain has never been higher.
Three hundred and thirty thousand people moved to the UK
last year, 94,000 thousand more than the previous year, 56,000
thousand of them being EU nationals.
Against these numbers, efforts by the government of British
Prime Minister David Cameron to reduce net migration to "tens of
thousands a year" only, hardly appear realistic.
"This data is very disappointing", commented Immigration
and Security Minister James Brokenshire.
