(ANSA) - Rome, September 15 - Agri-food exports rose by 8%
in the first half of 2015 over the same period last year,
farmers' association Coldiretti said Tuesday.
The rise was driven by the food-themed Universal Exposition
in Milan, Coldiretti added.
Agri-food exports rose by 10% in the period May-June, which
coincided with the first two months of Expo.
If the trend continues for the rest of the year exports are
on course to reach the record level of 36 billion euros,
Coldiretti said.
Expo ends on October 31.
