Serve programma per restituire a città onore perduto
(ANSA) - Rome, October 9 - Ex-premier Silvio Berlusconi said
Friday he will work towards "a united and victorious"
center-right alliance in Rome in the wake of center-left Mayor
Ignazio Marino's resignation.
"Beginning today, I will work to offer voters a united and
victorious center-right, with a government program for the
capital that will give back the city its lost honor," said the
leader of the center-right Forza Italia (FI) party.
"I hope all the parties in our coalition will meet as soon
as possible to assess the best candidates, without preconceived
notions," Berlusconi added.
"I hope no one wants to escape this responsibility out of
preference for partisan interests," he said.
