(ANSA) - Tehran, February 19 - The first sign of Italy in
post-sanctions Iran comes in the guise of fashion, with a
Roberto Cavalli store now open in Tehran to be followed next
month by Versace, ANSA sources said on Friday.
The two-storey Cavalli store was inaugurated Thursday and
carries the label's collections for women, men, and children, as
well as accessories, footwear, and home furnishings.
One of the entrepreneurs is Medhi Firouzan, president of
the KelideTalaei group, who told ANSA that the group's plan is
"to build a via Montenapoleone" - Milan's luxury shopping
street - "in the wealthy neighborhood of Zafaraniyeh in the
northern area of the capital".
"Iran needs quality of life," Firouzan said.
