(ANSA) - Rome, March 9 - Italy's Constitutional Court on
Wednesday said that growing cannabis is a crime even if it is
cultivated only for personal use.
The top court gave the ruling in knocking back a case
raised by the Brescia appeals court about the legitimacy of
criminal punishment for growing cannabis for personal use,
mooting the possibility that an administrative sanction was more
appropriate.
