(ANSA) - Rome, March 11 - The import into the EU of an extra
35,000 tonnes of Tunisian olive oil a year duty-free threatens
one in three Italian firms in the sector, farmers' association
Coldiretti said Friday.
The Italian health ministry called Thursday's OK from the
European Parliament "the latest attack on our oil".
Anti-euro Northern League leader Matteo Salvini said "it
was a criminal vote, I'm angry at the (ruling centre-left
Democratic Party) PD, the government and the trade unions".
In 2015 some 90,000 tonnes of olive oil came from Tunisia.
