Assets worth half billion seized in 'Ndragnheta op

(ANSA) - Catanzaro, March 21 - Assets worth a combined total of 500 million euros were seized by finance police from individuals allegedly linked to the Lamezia Terme-based Iannazzo clan of Calabria's 'Ndragnheta mafia, ANSA sources said Monday.
    The Due Mari shopping centre situated at Maida, between Catanzaro and Lamezia Terme and owned by businessman Franco Perri, was among the confiscated assets. Other seized assets included properties, companies and bank shares. The shopping centre will not be closed but will be administered by a pool of professionals, the sources said.
