(ANSA) - Moscow, April 15 - Visiting Russian Energy Minister
Alexander Novak told ANSA Friday that nuclear cooperation with
Italy "has considerable potential".
Novak and Deputy Premier Arkady Dvorkovich are in Italy and
are expected to meet with Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni and
Farm Minister Maurizio Martina at some point during their visit,
which will include facing off against Italy's diplomatic soccer
team in a friendly match against their Russian counterparts.
"Six decommissioned Russian nuclear subs have been
dismantled in the past decade".
Italy and Russia in late 2015 signed a 3.2-million-euro
contract to dispose of nuclear fuel from the Admiral Ushakov
nuclear-powered missile cruiser, Novak said.
