Fake quake workers 'robbing Assisi homes' (2)

(ANSA) - Assisi, October 31 - Fake council workers are calling on quake-damaged homes in Assisi asking to inspect the damage but instead robbing the premises, Assisi Mayor Stefania Proietti said Monday.
    "Anyone calling at homes should have a certified City of Assisi badge and they are only going out to people who have called our quake hotline," she said.
    The same scam was being pulled in the small town of Montesilvano near Pescara, local sources said.
