(ANSA) - Rome, November 15 - Italy's gross domestic
product rose by 0.3% in the third quarter of 2016 with respect
to the previous three months and by 0.9% compared to the same
period last year, according to seasonally adjusted data released
by Istat on Tuesday.
Growth had been flat in the second quarter with respect
to the first.
Italy's 'acquired growth' for 2016 - what the annual
growth rate will be if there are no further quarter-on-quarter
rises in gross domestic product - has risen to 0.8%, Istat said
Tuesday in the light of the positive GDP data for the third
quarter.
The previous estimate based on the data from the first two
quarters of 2016 was a rise of 0.6%.
The government has forecast (raw) growth of 0.8% for
2016.
