(ANSA) - Rome, December 2 - A former priest was convicted of
slander Friday for alleging the existence of a criminal
organisation that recruited children to be put to work as
prostitutes for Roman clergymen. Patrizio Poggi was sentenced to
six years, 11 months in jail for aggravated and continued
calumny. Poggi was found to have acted out of revenge, after
having been defrocked over a 2013 sentence for luring minors.
