(ANSA) - Rome, October 12 - A woman working at Rome's La Sapienza University got two days' paid sick leave to see her dog through a surgical operation, Italian media reported Thursday.
The woman, assisted by the Anti-Vivisection League (LAV), was able to persuade her employers that looking after the animal as it faced an operation on its larynx was a "serious personal motive" that warranted the leave.
