(ANSA) - Rome, September 21 - Some 1.2 million children live
in absolute poverty in Italy, 12.
Some 2.156 million live in relative poverty, the group said.
"It is inadmissible. They are alarming data that we can't
view with indifference. We must immediately establish an
investment and action plan to improve this situation of malaise,
which is not tending to stop but is on the other hand increasing
with respect to the past," said UNICEF Italia President
Francesco Samengo at a conference in Calabria.
