(ANSA) - Rome, October 26 - Premier Giuseppe Conte said
Friday it was impossible fo the government to halt the
construction of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) in Puglia.
Addressing local mayors, he said the government had done
everything possible and would support the local communities
which have protested against the project.
On the TAP, he said, "we have done everything we could,
leaving nothing to be tried. Now, however, the time has come to
make the necessary choices and face up to facts.
"I promise a special attention for the local communities
because they deserve all the support on the part of the
government.
