Salini-Fincantieri-Italferr to build new Genoa bridge, should be ready on a year

(ANSA) - Genoa, December 11 - The contract to build the new bridge over the Polcevera river in Genoa has been won by Salini Impregilo, together with Fincantieri and Italferr, ANSA sources said Tuesday. The project will be executed by Italferr on the basis of an idea by world renowned Genoese architect Renzo Piano. The new viaduct will replace the Morandi bridge, which collapsed in August in a disaster than claimed 43 lives.
