(ANSA) - Milan, December 20 - Deputy Premier Matteo Salvini
on Thursday wished "all Lombards and Italians a happy and holy
Christmas, hoping that no one is offended, because we are now in
strange times".
He added that the government had left under Italians'
Christmas tree "a budget that finally gives back instead of
taking away".
Salvini and other members of his rightwing populist League
party have slammed moves to make the holidays more inclusive by
removing Christian symbols.
