(ANSA) - Turin, January 7 - Mattia Binotto on Monday replaced
Maurizio Arrivabene as Ferrari team principal, the Formula One
glamour team announced in a statement, confirming press reports.
"After four years of commitment and unflagging dedication
Maurizio Arrivabene is leaving Scuderia Ferrari," it said.
"The decision was taken by mutual agreement with the heads of
the firm after profound reflection in relation to Maurizio's
personal needs and those of the Scuderia.
"From today Mattia Binotto takes on the role of Team
Principal of the Scuderia Ferrari.
"All the technical functions will continue to report to
Mattia".
Binotto,a protégé of late Ferrari and FCA chief Sergio
Marchionne, was hitherto Ferrari's chief technical officer.
