(ANSA) - Rome, January 10 - The deputy speaker of the Italian
Senate, Five Star Movement (M5S) MP Paola Taverna, wrote
Thursday on Twitter that she would sue anyone who tries to
defame her mother.
The comment came after a Rome court rejected an appeal filed
by her mother against Aziende Territoriali per l'Edilizia
Residenziale (ATER), which manages public housing projects.
"As M5S member of parliament, after having paid back over
200,000 euros, I am so clean that they no longer find anything
to attack me with except for through those I care about. I will
sue anyone who has spread or will spread false or defamatory
information on my mother," she said.
