(ANSA) - Rome, March 13 - Council workers on Wednesday rubbed
out a historic voting slogan from a wall in Rome's Garbatella
district after mistaking it for graffiti.
The 'Vote Garibaldi' slogan was used in the 1948 election
campaign by the Communist and Socialist parties combined in the
Popular Democratic Front.
"It was cancelled by mistake and will be restored," said the
city council.
