(ANSA) - Ancona, march 14 - A 35-year-old former lorry driver with HIV who infected his wife who died in 2017 was convicted of murder on Thursday.
Claudio Pinti got 16 years and eight months in jail for killing his wife and also for infecting another 40-year-old woman with HIV.
Pinti, of Montecarotto near Ancona, is currently being held in hospital.
His defence lawyer said he would weigh an appeal.
