(ANSA) - Rome, May 17 - Italy's Michela Puddu is one of the four winners of the European Union prize for Women Innovators funded by the EU Horizons programme, organisers said Friday.
Puddu hatched the idea of using DNA anti-fraud labels to track products.
"I hope the winners can in their turn inspire many other women to undertake innovative activities," said European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, Carlos Moedas, announcing the winners of the international competition VivaTech.
