More migrants land on Lampedusa

(ANSA) - Rome, July 8 - More migrants have reached Lampedusa in the second landing in a few hours between Sunday and Monday.
    A small boat was intercepted about one mile from the coast with 19 people on board, all Tunisian nationals, who were transferred to a hosting center on the island, local authorities said Monday.
    Another 10 migrants were intercepted on Sunday night after they had landed on the island.
    Meanwhile 65 migrants who reached Malta aboard migrant rescue vessel Alan Kurdi operated by German NGO Sea-Eye will be reallocated other countries in the EU, according to reports on Monday.
    The Pope on Monday celebrated Mass to commemorate the sixth anniversary of his visit to Lampedusa, where he prayed for the refugees and migrants who drowned trying to reach Europe.
    Meanwhile Defence Minister Elisabetta Trenta and Interior Minister Matteo Salvini sparred over the now-defunct Sophia mission, with Trenta saying she had told Salvini its end would mean the return of NGO run rescue ships and Salvini retorting that "I don't want to have a row" but a mission landing all its migrants in Italy had been unacceptable.
