Govt won't last long says Salvini

First executive born in Brussels says League chief

(ANSA) - Rome, September 5 - Anti-migrant Euroskeptic League party leader Matteo Salvini said Thursday Premier Giuseppe Conte's new government formed by the anti-establishment 5-Star Movement (M5S) and the centre-left Democratic Party (PD) would not last long.
"The government of (keeping your) posts, of recycled people and European vested interests will not have a long life," said Salvini, who brought down the last M5S-League government only to regret it on August 8.
"Opposition in parliament, in the towns and cities and the streets, then finally we'll vote and..we'll win," said Salvini, whose League is still polling at over 30% despite a fall of over 5% after his failed bid for a snap vote.
"I'm not giving up and I'll never give, friends, for me honour comes before ministries".
He called the M5S-PD government "the first executive born in Brussels".
