Coronavirus: Doctor death toll in Italy rises to 121, 30 nurses have died

FNOMCEO reports five more deaths among physicians

(ANSA) - Rome, April 15 - The death toll from the coronavirus among Italy's doctors rose to 120 as five more physicians died on Wednesday.
    The national federation of doctors guilds FNOMCEO said the latest casualties were Patrizia Longo (family doctor), Enrico Boggio (dentist), Eugenio Malachia Brianza (SERD doctor), Elisabetta Mangiarii (family doctor) and Marco Spissu, 72, a surgeon at a private clinic.

The latter died in a hospital ICU where he had been admitted at the beginning of March in Sassari in Sardinia.

    The toll includes retired doctors who have returned to the front line in the virus battle.
   The death toll from the coronavirus among Italy's nurses rose to 30 as another two died on Wednesday.
Some 34% of the nurses who have died worked in care homes, the federation of nurses guilds FNOPI said.
