(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 25 - Italy makes a quarter of the world's
pasta, farmers group Coldiretti said on World Pasta Day Monday.
The Belpaese accounts for some five billion euros worth of the
global production value of over 20 billion euros, which has
risen during the COVID pandemic, the group said.
Italians have started making past at home again with the
pandemic, it said.
Some 41% of Italian households got out their old rolling pins
and started doing what their grandmothers had regularly done
last year, Coldiretti said. (ANSA).
