(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 5 - Some 83.3% of Italians have had both COVID-19 jabs and are completely inoculated against the virus, Emergency Commissioner Francesco Figliuolo said Friday.
That amounts to over 45 million people, he said.
Some 86%, or over 46 million, have had at least one dose of the vaccine.
To these latter can be added the 600,000 people who have recovered, making 87.7% of Italians who have some cover against the coronavirus.
Figliuolo also said that Italy will hit a peak for third vaccinations between December and February.
Aske about supply chains, Figliuolo assured reporters that "we can give the booster jab to everyone". (ANSA).
