(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 13 - The Italian government is seeking to
use education to transform Italy with the help of the funding of
the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), Education
Minister Patrizio Bianchi told Expo 2020 Dubai.
"In the past, education was one part of the government, a
sectorial activity," Bianchi said during a panel session at the
RewirEd Summit being held as part of the Expo 2020 Knowledge and
Learning Week.
"Now education policy is structural. It is the type of policy,
perhaps the only one, that is capable of changing and
transforming a whole country.
"We are not just addressing a problem regarding teachers or
families (with the NRRP initiatives), we are also addressing the
key issue of transforming our country for the future.
"The key to our programme is addressing complexity on a large
scale because the school (system) is the biggest organization of
every country and, through the education programme, we must
change the whole organization of our country". (ANSA).
