(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 31 - The Delta variant of the coronavirus is still dominant in Italy at 79%, while the more infectious but less severe Omicron strain stands at 21% of reported cases, the Higher Health Institute said in its flash report for December 20 Friday.
There is a regional variability that ranges between 3% and 65% among Italy's 20 regions, the report also said.
