(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 24 - An Italian predator priest who forced
migrants to perform sexual acts in exchange for approving their
stay permits as part of an asylum panel in the Sicilian port
city of Trapani returned to prison Thursday after the supreme
Court of Cassation upheld an appeals court sentence of six years
against him.
The cleric, Don Sergio Librizzi, for many years the head of the
Trapani branch of Catholic charity Caritas, was first arrested
in 2014 and originally sentenced to nine years in jail.
Father Librizzi has two years of his jail term still to serve.
