(ANSA) - ROME, APR 20 - Some 22 prison officers were indicted
Wednesday over alleged torture inflicted on inmates in Turin's
'Lorusso e Cutugno' Prison.
Among them are the former prison governor, Domenico Minervini,
removed form his post after the opening of a probe into the
alleged violence, and the former prison officer commander,
Giovanni Battista Alberotanza.
The two, who have been charged with abetting crimes and failing
to report crimes, and one of the agents have opted for a
fast-track trial. (ANSA).
