(ANSA) - ROME, APR 29 - An Italian supermarket director asked
staff if they were on their periods after finding a tampon lying
on the toilet floor, unions said in protesting the incident at
Pescara on Thursday.
The CONAD store owner-manager allegedly said "I want the name
and surname of those who are on their menstrual cycle today, Ok?
Otherwise I'll pull down their panties myself".
CONAD stripped its name from the store saying it was
"unacceptable behaviour" on the woman's part. (ANSA).
