(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 6 - 'Ndrangheta boss Rocco Morabito, who
is considered one of the world's top drugs traffickers, landed
at Rome's Ciampino airport early on Wednesday after being
extradited from Brazil.
The 56-year-old was arrested in May 2021 by the Brazilian
federation police at João Pessoa along with another 'Ndrangheta
mobster and former fugitive, Vincenzo Pasquino, in an operation
that had the support of Italy's Carabinieri police and the
United States' FBI and DEA agencies.
Morabito is set to serve a 30-year jail term. (ANSA).
