(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 13 - A 52-year-old Italian woman was
killed with three gunshots near Turin while out cycling on her
birthday near Turin Wednesday night, local sources said.
Three handgun shell casings were found next to the body mot far
from an overhead walkway over the Turin-Milan high-speed train
line at a frazione of Chivasso, Pratoregio.
The woman, Giuseppina Arena, lived in a council flat nearby and
was known as "Giusi la cantante" (Giusi the Singer).
Her flat was impounded by police and her two dogs and 15 cats
taken to animal shelters.
"She wouldn't have hurt a fly, it was impossible for her to have
enemies," said a neighbour.
An autopsy has been ordered.
Her brother has been questioned. (ANSA).
