(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 17 - Former sprint 'Lion King' and cycling
legend Mario Cipollini on Monday got three years in jail for
assaulting his ex wife.
Former world road race champ Cipollini, 55, was found guilty by
a court in his home town of Lucca of threats and bodily harm
against Sabrina Landucci, who reported him in January 2017.
The prosecutor in the case had requested a sentence of two and a
half years.
Cipoolini was also found guilty of threatening Landucci's new
partner, former professional footballer Silvio Giusti. (ANSA).
