Had fled Ukraine war, Egyptian ex stopped at Bologna station

(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 14 - A 23-year-old Ukrainian woman who had fled the conflict in her home country was stabbed to death near Pesaro in Marche on Sunday and her Egyptian ex-husband has been arrested on suspicion of murder, local sources said Monday.
    The woman,

Anastasiia Alashri,

who worked in a restaurant in Fano, just up the coast, was found with signs of at least three stab wounds to her body in a field at Villa Giulia outside Fano.
    Her ex was stopped at Bologna station trying to flee the country, police said.
    An alarm was raised when the young woman failed to turn up at the restaurant on Sunday.
    A search was launched and her body found Monday morning.
    She had gone to her ex's house to get some clothes back. An autopsy has been ordered.

Alashri arrived in Italy in March with her ex husband and her three-year-old son, after the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24.
