(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 16 - There are "solid foundations" for
China-Italy cooperation, President Xi JInping told Premier
Giorgia Meloni on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Bali
Wednesday, according to China Central Television.
China and Italy are ancient civilizations and global strategic
partners "with broad common interests and solid foundations for
cooperation", he said.
"The two sides should inherit and carry on the tradition of
friendship, understand and support core interests and major
mutual concerns, seek common ground beyond differences, expand
consensus, and set an example for countries with different
social systems and cultural backgrounds to develop relations,"
