(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 29 - The fight against tax evasion is
central to the 200-billion-euro EU-funded post-COVID National
Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), President Sergio Mattarella
said Tuesday.
"A lot has been done in Italy on the NRRP regarding tax evasion,
with much concreteness and measures and there are no signs that
this chapter will be changed", said Mattarella answering a
question during a joint press conference with Swiss President
Ignazio Cassis, and clarifying that the fight against tax
evasion remains central to the National Recovery and Resilience
Plan.
The NRRP is being implemented in milestone targets on which EU
funding is conditional, over the next two to three years.
Cassis said on Switzerland's inclusion on Italy's tax dodger
black list that "being removed from the blacklist is very
important not on a material level but on a symbolic one. It is a
useless nuisance that no longer has any reason to exist and it
would be good if good that it no longer exists," also because
Switzerland has already met its requirements. (ANSA).
