(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 5 - The CSIRT incident-response team of
the National Cybersecurity Agency has reported an increase in
Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks on Italian
institutions by Russian hacker groups, sources said Monday.
The agency said that these attacks have been of a
"demonstrative" nature and have not led to breaches of the
integrity and confidentiality of the systems.
But it also said the attacks are likely to intensify in the
coming months and recommended that public institutions devote
great attention to the security of their IT systems and assess
whether they needed to raise their level of protection from DDoS
attacks. (ANSA).
