Employment down slightly in third quarter

(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 20 - Italy's labour market cooled slightly in the third quarter of this year, with the number of people in employment dropping by 12,000, or 0.1%, with respect to the previous three months, according to government figures released on Tuesday.
    The number of people in work was up by 247.000, or 1.1%, compared to the third quarter of 2021.
    Unemployment was down too, by 52,000, or 2.6%, while the number of 15-to-64-year-olds who are not active on the labour market increased by 30,000 (0.2%). (ANSA).
